ANNVILLE, Pa. – Over the past week, Lebanon Valley's Esports teams competed across multiple platforms and were impressive in all events, including Hearthstone, CS:GO, Valorant, League of Legends, Call of Duty, Rocket League, and Overwatch.
In Hearthstone action, a team of
Eli Jones,
Wyatt Morrison, and
Brandon Kemmery took down Eastern Tennessee State University 3-1 on Feb. 23, followed by a 1-0 win over Juniata by the CS:GO squad, made up of
Robbie Bonnaci, Kemmery,
Brandon Bauer,
Nikolai Neufeld-Kreider, and
Dustin Haberstumpf.
LVC's Valorant team, consisting of Bonnaci, Neufeld-Kreider,
Jacob Layton,
Andrew Seneca, and
Jon Lam, blanked West Virginia University 1-0 before the Flying Dutchmen's League of Legends Team (
James Zilinski,
Claudio Hernandez,
Kaleb Longenecker, Lam, and
Evan Nguyen) shut out Eastern University 2-0.
The Call of Duty team earned two victories on Feb. 23.
Bryan Towers,
Ethan Filbert,
Andrew Kierce, and
Chris DeClerico blanked the U.S. Naval Academy and New Jersey Institute of Technology by 3-0 margins.
On Feb. 19,
Alexander Cowden,
Mason Garza, and
Ki Shon defeated Ashland University 3-0 in Rocket League, while the Dutchmen's Overwatch squad, comprised of
Jacob Triano,
Benjamin McDonnell,
Colin Brophy,
Logan Matter,
Grayson Rule, and
Cade Kassay dropped a close 2-1 decision to the University of Tulsa, but bounced back for a 2-0 victory later in the evening on Feb. 20.
