SCRANTON, Pa. – Lebanon Valley's Women's Tennis team dropped a 7-2 contest to Scranton University on a rainy Sunday afternoon. The Dutchmen fall to 3-2 on the year while the Royals improve to 3-1.
The Dutchmen finished off the doubles portion of the match with a 2-1 advantage. The duo of
Meredith Haas and
Jacquelyn McBride recorded a tight win at #1 doubles that went into a tiebreak. The duo would win 7-6 in the tiebreak to pick up the victory.
Madison Poladian and
Eliana Shenk picked up an 8-0 sweep for the other doubles win for LVC.
In singles play, the Dutchmen took four of the six matches over the River Hawks to clinch the overall match victory. McBride and Shenk each picked up three-set wins at #1 and #4 singles respectively. At #3 singles, Poladian cruised to a straight-set 6-2, 6-2 win.
Abbey DeLisio wrapped things up for the Dutchmen with a 6-4, 6-1 victory at the #6 slot.

The Flying Dutchmen will conclude their Fall season next weekend at the two-day Goucher College tournament. The Dutchmen will play at 9 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday in Baltimore, Md.
