Bethlehem, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley Women's Soccer picked up a draw in their penultimate regular-season match at Moravian on Wednesday evening. The Dutchmen now sit at 8-6-2 on the year while the Greyhounds are now 6-4-3.
How It Happened
- The Dutchmen picked up a goal just 53 seconds into the contest to grab an early lead. Lucy McGloshen was able to find the back of the net in the opening minute and the Dutchmen found themselves ahead 1-0 right away.
- A little over ten minutes later, Moravian would get their own early goal as Kylie Hughes beat the LVC defense and found nylon to bring the score back even with both teams getting on the scoreboard in the first 11:17 of the contest.
- The scoring stopped there as neither team could find another score for the next 98:43 and the teams would have to settle for a 1-1 tie.
Inside The Numbers
- Lucy McGloshen netted her third goal on the season.
- This was the second time this season that LVC has scored a goal in the opening minute of the game.
- Jocelyn Umana made six saves in between the pipes.
- Moravian held a slim 10-9 shot advantage and 7-6 on target.
Who's Next?
The Dutchmen return home for the regular-season finale as LVC hosts Stevenson this Saturday afternoon. Game time at Herbert Field is set for 12:30 p.m. The Dutchmen will celebrate senior day prior to the match.
