How It Happened
ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley men's lacrosse team used a big seven-goal opening period to pick up a wire-to-wire victory by a 13-3 score over Washington & Jefferson College on Wednesday afternoon. The Dutchmen improve to 2-4 on the year while the Presidents drop to 1-5.

The Dutchmen wasted little time getting their offense going as Michael Fisher scored just 97 seconds into the contest to give LVC a lead they would never relinquish. LVC would go on to rattle off four more unanswered goals in a span of just over eight minutes to push their lead out to 5-0. The Presidents would finally break the Dutchmen onslaught with just under two minutes to go in the opening period. LVC would respond with a pair of goals in the final 31 seconds, one from Josh Croyle and the other a man-up goal by Trevor Holak gave LVC a 7-1 advantage after the opening 15 minutes.

The offense would pick up where they left off in the second quarter when Alex Kiviniemi scored just over three minutes into the frame. The goal was the first of three goals in the quarter for the Dutchmen with Kyle Golden netting a pair to close out the half as LVC took a commanding 10-1 lead into the locker room.

The second half would be low scoring with the Dutchmen offense scoring just three times but LVC's defense held strong as the Presidents only picked up a pair of scores as the Dutchmen would cruise to a 13-3 win.
