How It Happened
HERSHEY, Pa. – Lebanon Valley's men's ice hockey team ran into a hot Utica squad as the Dutchmen fell to the 4th-ranked Pioneers 5-0 on Saturday afternoon. LVC falls to 3-9-3 in UCHC play while Utica improves to 11-2-1 in the league.

Utica would get the scoring started at the 7:33 mark of the opening period when Buster Larsson finished off a rebound of a Daniel Fritz shot to put the Pioneers ahead 1-0. Just 2:20 later, Fritz assisted another Utica score, this time off the stick of Eric Holland who scored off a rising backhander to double the lead.

After a majority of the second period that was played primarily in the Dutchmen defensive zone, the Pioneers finally broke through the LVC defense to push their lead out to 3-0. Utica outshot the Dutchmen 15-1 in the frame. Utica would add a pair in the final stanza to officially put away the Dutchmen 5-0.
