How It Happened
ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Dutchmen fell 85-82 in a high-scoring affair to Arcadia despite a career-high 31 points from Collin Jones. LVC finishes the campaign with an 11-14 record and 6-10 in MAC Commonwealth play while Arcadia improves to 15-10 and 10-6 in conference play and will take part in the conference tournament. The Dutchmen also celebrated their annual Make-A-Wish game and Hot Dog Frank game on the day.

In the first half, the score was tied 9-9 early before Arcadia would catch fire from the floor and run off a 21-4 run that spanned nearly seven minutes to take 30-13 advantage. During the run, the Knights knocked down four 3-pointers to stretch out their lead. LVC would claw back in the final five minutes of the half as they closed the first half on a 13-5 run of their own to bring the game within single digits at intermission, trailing 35-26.

LVC would pick up the pace offensively in the second half as they shot 61.1% (22-36) from the floor and scored 56 second half points, their most in any half this year. Arcadia would pour in 50 of their own including 22 from the league's leading scorer, Da'Kquan Davis.

The Dutchmen were kept at bay by the Knights for the first seven minutes of the second half before six unanswered points by LVC would bring them within a pair at 48-46 with 12:31 to play. Near the midway point of the half, Arcadia led 55-50 and would then rattle off seven straight points to push their lead back up to double digits. The score would stay within 5-7 points for most of the remainder of the half. Luis Garcia converted a layup with 14 seconds to go to bring LVC within three at 83-80. On the ensuing inbounds, AJ Catanzaro would steal the pass and Collin Jones would turn the turnover into two points to bring the Dutchmen to within one with seven seconds left. Arcadia's DJ Gardner would hit two clutch free throws with five seconds left and LVC's attempt to tie would be off the mark as LVC fell 85-82.
