ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley's women's tennis team picked up their first win of the fall season with a closely-contested 5-4 victory over Penn State Harrisburg on Thursday afternoon.
In the doubles matches, LVC went 2-1 on the day over the Lions. At #2 doubles,
Nicole Honrade and
Madison Poladian won 8-3 while the #3 doubles pair of
Meridyth Sanders and
Zoe Birch were victorious by an 8-2 score.
The Dutchmen women would split singles play going 3-3 to help secure the overall match victory. Poladian won a three-setter in the #3 singles slot after winning the tiebreaker set 10-7. In the #4 singles position,
Emily Wilczek took home a win in straight sets 7-5, 6-4. To wrap up the day for the Dutchmen, it was Sanders in the #5 singles slot who won in straight sets without surrendering a single game for entire match.
