ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley's women's tennis team opened the fall portion of its 2019-20 season with a 6-3 loss to York (Pa.) at the Shankroff Tennis Center on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 14.
The doubles matches were up for grabs for either side but the Spartans would take two of three to take the 2-1 advantage into singles play. The #2 doubles pair of
Madison Poladian and
Nicole Honrade picked up an 8-6 victory for the Dutchmen's lone victory in doubles play.
The Dutchmen women would go 2-4 in singles play on the day. Honrade picked up a three-set victory (4-6, 6-1, 6-1) in the #2 singles slot while
Meridyth Sanders was victorious in straight sets at #5 singles (6-2, 6-2). The Dutchmen were close on many singles matches with a couple matches going the maximum three sets.
