Lebanon Valley 9, Cabrini 0
RADNOR, Pa. – Lebanon Valley broke its two game loss streak by shutting out Cabrini 9-0 on Wednesday afternoon. The Dutchmen advanced to 4-7, while the Cavaliers dropped to 0-10.
Melanie Haas and
Emily Wilczek flew in No. 1 doubles 8-2, so did
Rachel Duong and
Meridyth Sanders in No. 2 doubles with a score of 8-1. In No. 3 doubles,
Zoe Birch and
Leah Wingert blew out the Cavaliers 8-0.
The Dutchmen were dominant in singles as well. Hass won 6-0, 6-1 in No. 1 singles play, and Duong took control as she got the 8-6, 6-1 victory in No. 2 singles action. Wilczek bested Cabrini's Elizabeth Baddoo 6-4, 6-1 in No. 3 singles play, and Sanders got the win 6-1, 6-1 in No. 4 singles. In No. 5 singles action, Birch shut out Alyssa Madden 6-0, 6-0, as did Wingert 6-0, 6-0 in No. 6 singles play.
The Dutchmen head to Reading, Pa. on Saturday, April 6
th, and take on Albright College at 1 p.m. for a conference matchup.
