How It Happened
READING, Pa. – In the opening game of this afternoon's MAC Commonwealth doubleheader, Lebanon Valley fell 5-2 to Albright.
The Flying Dutchmen got on the board first when
Kristi Langhans singled home
Rylee Shockley in the top of the second, but in the bottom of the frame, the Lions evened the game after Sears scored on a throwing error. In the top of the third, though,
Savannah Toth reached on an error that allowed
Annie McClain to score and put LVC back up by one at 2-1. Again, Albright had an answer and crossed the plate three times in the bottom of the third to go up 4-2.
For the remainder of the game, the Dutchmen were unable to generate any offense and Albright added an insurance run in the bottom of the fifth and held on for the 5-2 victory in game one.
Inside the Numbers
- Shockley paced the offense by going 3-for-4 at the plate.
- McClain notched a hit and scored a run.

How It Happened
In game two, Lebanon Valley dropped a heartbreaker, as the Lions scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh to earn the narrow 3-2 win. The Dutchmen now sit at 16-18, 6-8 MAC Commonwealth, while Albright improved to 17-15, 11-3 MAC Commonwealth.
Langhans provided the offense in game two, beginning with her RBI-single through the left side in the top of the second that score Musselman. Then, in the top of the fourth, Langhans singled to right to score Toth and put LVC ahead 2-0. That score stood until the bottom of the seventh when the Lions' Pomante singled to second to score Yerger. Later in the inning, with the bases juiced, Lord singled to left to score a pair and win the game for Albright 3-2.
Inside the Numbers
- Langhans went 2-for-3 at the dish with a pair of RBI.
- Musselman added two hits.

Jen Kaufman, Whelski, Toth, McClain, and
Alison Noga recorded one hit apiece.
- Windsor got the nod in game two as pitched well, but was charged with the loss. She went 6.2 innings and didn't allow an earned run while striking out three.
