Just over 40 seconds into the contest, Jaclyn Little got LVC on the board with a goal from Makenzie Kelley, but the Warriors' Kelly McGinniss answered with her 61st goal of the season less than a minute later. From there, the Dutchmen posted three straight goals, including a pair from Brittany Hathaway, to go up 4-1 with 23:33 remaining in the first. The visitors, however, answered with three straight of their own to even the game at 4-4 with 15:02 to go. Hathaway then netted the hat trick off an up-goal at 11:42, followed by another Little goal with 6:40 left to give LVC a 6-4 lead heading into halftime.

In the second half, the Dutchmen started off the period strong and never looked back. Veronica Venezia opened the scoring with an assisted goal just 54 seconds in, followed by Hathaway's fourth of the day. Emily Federowicz got in on the action at 27:25 off an assist from Bailey Dills, followed by Little's tally from Venezia to make it a 10-4 score with 15:51 to go. LVC went on to score two more goals to make it six consecutive goals before Lyco momentarily stopped the bleeding with a goal from Hailey Kimble to make it 12-5 with 12:23 left.
