How It Happened
ANNVILLE, Pa. – Due to a strong fourth inning, the Lebanon Valley Flying Dutchmen bested the Stevenson Mustangs 6-2 on Wednesday afternoon's Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth (MACC) softball action. The Dutchmen moved to 16-13, 6-3 MACC while the Mustangs dropped to 9-15, 2-7 MACC.
Stevenson was the first to score in the top of the third scoring Danielle Ebbinghausen. Bottom of the third with bases loaded, and
Rylee Shockley singled up the middle plating
Annie McClain.
Kate Whelski was up next bases still loaded and singled through to the right side and plated
Jen Kaufman. The Dutchmen led 2-1.
With good defense by LVC, the next three batters were out. In the bottom of the fourth, the bases were loaded with
Savannah Toth up to bat and she singled up the middle and
Robin Feaster crossed home. Shockley was up next and plated McClain on a sacrifice fly to center. With two outs, Whelski was up and singled to third scoring Kaufman and gave Lebanon Valley a 5-1 lead.
The Mustangs were able to score on more time in the top of the fifth, but LVC earned one more run in the bottom of the sixth after
Kristi Langhans singled to left center plating Whelski. In the top of the seventh, the Mustangs went 0-3 at bat, and the Dutchmen went on to win 6-2.

- Kate Whelski led the offense with one run, three hits, and two RBI. She also reached a milestone and recorded her 100th career hit this afternoon.

How It Happened
The Stevenson Mustangs outscored the Dutchmen 3-2 in game two of the doubleheader on Wednesday afternoon. The Mustangs advanced to 10-15, 3-7 MACC and Lebanon Valley dropped to 16-14, 6-4 MACC.
Stevenson had a big opening inning and plated two with two outs. Lebanon Valley answered back with
Jen Kaufman on second,
Rylee Shockley singled to left field and Kaufman crossed home plate.
Both teams remained at a standstill until the fifth when Stevenson scored its third run. Bottom of the fifth, and Shockley earned her second RBI of the game and scored
Annie McClain. Neither team was able to score in the final innings of the game and Stevenson went on to win 3-2.
