HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Lebanon Valley's men's tennis team narrowly fell to Albion (Mich.) on Tuesday during the Flying Dutchmen's annual spring break trip in Hilton Head. LVC now sits at 1-4, while the Britons moved to 2-3.
In No. 1 doubles action,
Reed Morris and
Justin Schuetz teamed up to edge Nick Kinachtchouk and Josh McGarry 8-6, while
Ben Hinkley and
Luke Senft cruised to an 8-3 win at No. 3 doubles over Robert Joerg and Patrick Smoker.
Schuetz earned another win in No. 2 singles, edging Albion 6-4, 7-6 (7-3), while
Ben Hinkley won a marathon match over Patrick Smoker in No. 6 singles at 6-4, 3-6, 13-11.
LVC is off tomorrow and will return to action on Thursday in its Hilton Head finale against Penn State Behrend at 12:15 p.m.
