ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – Lebanon Valley dropped a 9-0 decision to Elizabethtown College on Wednesday afternoon in non-conference women's tennis action. The Flying Dutchmen fell to 3-6, while the Blue Jays improved to 4-1.
In No. 1 doubles,
Melanie Haas and
Emily Wilczek dropped a tough 8-4 decision to Lenea Riehl and Kailey Caroland, while
Elizabeth Drda and
Zoe Birch fell narrowly to Laura Gribble and Madelyn Binder 8-6 in No. 3 doubles.
Haas battled Riehl in No. 1 singles, but was edged 6-4, 0-6, 10-2, while Birch fought tough against Binder in No. 6 singles, but dropped a 1-6, 6-2, 10-4 decision.
LVC opens up MAC Commonwealth action this Saturday, March 30th, when Stevenson comes to town for a 1 p.m. match.
