How It Happened
ANNVILLE, Pa. – In game one of today's non-conference doubleheader against Misericordia University, Lebanon Valley shined at the plate and inside the circle to earn the 5-0 victory over the Cougars.
It didn't take the Flying Dutchmen long to get on the scoreboard, as
Savannah Toth launched a two-out, two-run homerun over the left-center fence that also plated
Kate Whelski to give LVC an early 2-0 advantage. Inside the circle,
Lexi Windsor pitched a gem for the Dutchmen and escaped several jams. Windsor ran into some trouble in the top of the fourth when Pflueger hit a leadoff-double to right center, followed by Miranda Bohn's single down the left field line to put runners on second and third. Windsor proceeded to retire the Cougars in order from there, inducing a ground out to shortstop, followed by a pop-up to second and a ground out to third.
LVC padded its lead in the bottom of the fifth when Toth singled home
Kristi Langhans, followed by Rylee Shockey's two-RBI double to right center that scored Toth and Whelski. That was more than enough offense for Windsor, as she escaped another pickle in the top of the sixth and retired Misericordia in order in the seventh to earn the complete-game shutout.
Inside the Numbers
- Windsor needed just 78 pitches to earn the CG. She scattered seven hits in seven innings and struck out two to earn her fourth win of the season.
- Toth went 2-for-3 at the plate with a game-high three RBI.
- Whelski was 2-for-2 at the dish with two runs scored.
- Shockley added a pair of hits and two RBI.

How It Happened
It was quite a different story in game two for the Dutchmen, as Misericordia's bats woke up and the Cougars scored three in the first, followed by one in the third and seven more in the fourth. The visitors later added a pair of runs in the fifth and LVC was unable to keep the game going and eventually fell 13-0 in five innings.

Robin Feaster recorded LVC's lone hit.
- Misericordia's Miranda Bohn earned her sixth win of the season and struck out four.
- Kiersten Pflueger went 4-for-4 at the plate with four RBI.
- Maddie Holub added two hits and four RBI for the visitors.

The Dutchmen jump back into MAC Commonwealth action on Tuesday when LVC hosts Messiah for a doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m. at LVC Softball Park.
