Lebanon Valley 7, Penn State Harrisburg 2
ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley's men's tennis squad played its first match of the spring at Shankroff Tennis Center and cruised to a 7-2 victory over Penn State Harrisburg on Wednesday afternoon in non-conference action. The Flying Dutchmen improved to 3-4, while the Lions fell to 6-4.
LVC earned a pair of wins in doubles, beginning with
Blake Martin and
Elliott Kleckner's victory in No. 2 doubles at 8-3.
Luke Senft and
Ben Hinkley followed it up with a dominant 8-1 win over Jared Gluck and Alex Kurtz in No. 3 doubles.
Blake Martin was victorious in No. 1 doubles with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Sachin Venkatesh, while
Justin Schuetz was impressive in No. 2 singles, defeating Hyun Jun Kwon 6-3, 6-1. Klecker followed up his solid doubles match with an easy 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 4 singles, followed by Senft's 6-3, 6-3 win in No. 5 singles. Hinkley finished off Harrisburg by dominating Kurtz 6-0, 6-2 in No. 6 singles.
LVC is back in action this Sunday, March 24th, when the Dutchmen head to Wilkes-Barre to battle King's (Pa.) at noon.
