How It Happened
ANNVILLE, Pa. – Veronica Venezia broke Lebanon Valley's single-game program record with 10 assists and helped lead the Dutchmen in a blowout victory against the King's College (Pa.) Monarchs on Tuesday night's non-conference women's lacrosse action. LVC jumped to 3-4, and Monarchs dropped to 2-5.
Lebanon Valley was off to a quick start after scoring three consecutive goals early in the first half.
Emily Federowicz found the back of the net giving LVC a 4-0 lead 9:38 into the first, but King's had a quick comeback after Emily Sims added one to the board less than a minute later. The Dutchmen, though, continued its offensive outburst and went on a five-goal run with two goals coming from
Julia Gabriel and a goal and four assists coming from Venezia. With 2:43 left in the starting half, King's netted one, but LVC went on another offensive run and scored three more goals before the end of the first half. The Dutchmen entered into the second half leading 12-2 and Venezia put up seven assists in the first half alone.
The Monarchs put more pressure on the Dutchmen, but LVC continued to press forward and scored two more goals before the first ten minutes in the second half and led 14-2. King's was able to net two more goals, but Lebanon Valley continued to drive and with just 55 seconds left, Little scored her 14th of the season after Venezia's feed to give the sophomore the record for the most assist in a single game in program history. The Dutchmen in a landslide victory went on to win 16-4.

Veronica Venezia broke the former single game program record of nine assists and scored two goals and had 10 assists. Bailey Benz held the previous record of nine, which she accomplished on May 11, 2014. She also eclipsed the 100-career point mark after posting 11 points tonight.

Jaclyn Little scored five goals and
Emily Federowicz was right behind her with three.
- Little had seven shots, Venezia had five, and
Makenzie Kelley had four.

Jen Eck led both teams and controlled five draws.

Hannah Oliveras had eight saves.
- King's Emily Sims scored two goals.
- LVC scooped up 13 ground balls, controlled 14 of 21 draws, and caused 9 turnovers.
- The Dutchmen had 24 shots on goal, while the Monarchs had 12.

The Dutchmen head to Allentown, Pa. to play its last non-conference game against Muhlenberg College on Thursday, March 21st, at 4 p.m.
