How It Happened
FREDERICK, Md. – In game one Lebanon Valley's doubleheader at Hood,
Annie McClain broke the 0-0 tie in the top of the seventh and the Flying Dutchmen hung on to defeat the Blazers 2-1.
In the top of the seventh, with the game still knotted at 0-0,
Kristi Langhans led off the inning with a single through the right side.
Alison Noga then sacrificed Langhans to second, and Langhans later advanced to third on a passed ball. McClain then came to bat as a pinch hitter and reached on an error by the right fielder to give LVC a crucial 1-0 advantage.
Kyra Stanilious then singled to left field, followed by
Jen Kaufman's sac-bunt to put runners on second and third. Then, the Dutchmen again put the pressure on Hood and
Kate Whelski reached on an error by the shortstop, allowing
Sarah Musselman to score and increase LVC's lead to 2-0.
In the bottom of the seventh,
Lexi Windsor was looking for the complete game shutout. She got outs on the first two batters, and after K. Long singled to shortstop, Windsor finished off the Blazers in style with a strikeout to preserve the Dutchmen's impressive 2-0 win.

- Windsor improved to 3-1 on the season after notching the complete-game shutout. She allowed just three hits and struck out eight.

How It Happened
In game two of today's twinbill, Lebanon Valley scored twice in the top of the fifth to break the 1-1 tie and eventually send the Dutchmen past Hood 3-1. With the two victories today, the Dutchmen jumped to 6-6, 2-0 MAC Commonwealth, while Hood dropped to 3-7, 0-2 MAC Commonwealth.
In the top of the first,
Rylee Shockley doubled home Whelski to give LVC the early lead. In the bottom of the second, Hood evened the game at 1-1 off K. Long's double to right-center. Each team's offense was held in check from there until the top of the fifth when Whelski's sacrifice fly scored Noga and put LVC ahead 2-1. Later in the frame, Langhans singled through the left side to plate Musselman and give the Dutchmen a 3-1 cushion.
On the mound, Musselman was able to hold off the Blazers in the fifth and sixth, and in the bottom of the seventh with LVC still ahead 3-1, Windsor was called on for the save opportunity. After Musselman allowed a leadoff double, Windsor went 1-2-3 and LVC came away with the 3-1 win for the sweep.

- Whelski, Langhans, and Shockley each recorded two hits.
- Musselman picked up the win inside the circle and tossed six innings and struck out three.
