How It Happened
ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Arcadia Knights outscored the Dutchmen 32-21 in the second half en route to a 52-46 victory in MAC Commonwealth women's basketball action. Lebanon Valley dropped to 12-11, 8-6 MAC Commonwealth, while Arcadia jumped to 10-13, 7-7 MAC Commonwealth.
 
The Dutchmen entered the second half of play with a strong lead. With two good layups from Caroline Scarff and Emily Mealey, LVC lead by nine. The Knights kept chipping away and brought the score within two of the Dutchmen with a layup with 1:14 left in the third.  Lebanon Valley entered the final quarter leading 33-31. With 3:28 to go in the game, the score was deadlocked at 42-42. The Knights went on a five-point spurt, bringing the score to 47-42, which was stopped by a layup from Aley Abate with 34 ticks on the clock. The Dutchmen were within three.  Lebanon Valley looked to stop the clock and fouled to get some time to even the score and go into overtime, but the Knights sank three from the stripe and increased the lead by six. The Dutchmen had possession with 0:05 remaining, but time ran out, and LVC fell 52-46.
 
The Dutchmen were in the lead for the majority of the first half. Led by Emily Mealey, the Dutchmen had a 13-point separation with 5:52 left in the second quarter. Arcadia came back with an eight-point run and brought made the score 23-18, but LVC was able to maintain the lead and went into halftime up 25-20.
 
Inside the Numbers
-Emily Mealey lead both teams in points (18) and rebounds (13). This was her fourth game of the season with a double-double.
-Caroline Scarff added 10 points for the Dutchmen.
-Jen Eck led LVC with four assists.
- Arcadia's Julia Makowski led her team with 14 points.
- The Dutchmen had 28 points in the paint, 11 points off turnovers, nine bench points, and six second chance points.
- Lebanon Valley shot 41.2 percent from inside the arc and 26.7 percent 3PT.
 - The Knights got to the free-throw line 24 times, while the Dutchmen got to the line just twice.

The Dutchmen head to Grantham, Pa. on Tuesday, February 12th, to play the Messiah Falcons at 6 p.m.
