COMPLETE RESULTS
ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley's men's and women's swimming teams each picked up their first wins of the 2019-20 season on Saturday afternoon in the Flying Dutchmen's home opener. The men took down Stevenson 126-50, while the women defeated the Mustangs 141-53.
On the men's side,
Chandler Mumper won the 100-meter backstroke with a time of 1:19.78, while
Dain Vallie was victorious in the 400-meter freestyle after touching the wall at 4:49.76 and the rookie also won the 100-meter individual medley with a mark of 1:09.24.
In the 50-meter freestyle,
Kyle Kingsbury touched the wall first, finishing with a time of 25.99, followed closely by
Noah Miccio at 28.11.
Isaac Dimisa won the 100-meter butterfly with a time of 1:13.68 in a dual with Stevenson's Matt Miloszar.
In women's action, a team of
Emily Thrush,
Colleen Caribardi,
Courtney Betsock, and
Alexis Morace finished atop the 200-meter medley relay at 2:22.95.
Cayla Sydow (1:18.21) and
D'Anna Sydow (1:19.48) placed in the first and second spots, respectively, in the 100-meter individual medley, while
Erika Schell won the 50-meter freestyle with a time of 29.16, followed closely by Thrush at 31.55.
Schell then added a win in the 100-meter butterfly at 1:15.10 and D. Sydow was second at 1:20.24. Morace took first place in the 100-meter freestyle at 1:10.11 and
Kaitlyn Welch won the 100-meter backstroke with a mark of 1:18.12. In the 400-meter freestyle,
Sarah Wolfe earned first place after touching the wall at 5:12.77, while C. Sydow was second at 5:28.90. Finally, a team of Schell,
Juna Currie, Morace, and Welch won the 200-meter freestyle relay with a time of 2:03.86.
The Dutchmen are now idle until the new year. LVC will host Hood College on Saturday, Jan. 18 in the team's annual Pink Meet and Senior Day. Action is set to begin at 1 p.m.
