How It Happened
OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Three first half goals by Stevenson down Lebanon Valley's men's soccer team in the MAC Commonwealth Tournament play-in game on Monday evening. LVC sees their season come to a close while Stevenson advances to the semifinals and will take on top-seeded Messiah on Wednesday.

The Mustangs came out of the gate hot as they put immediate pressure on the Dutchmen defense and would eventually earn a corner kick just over seven minutes into the first half. Sean McDonald would play the ball into the box, finding Tariq Lee, who would capitalize on the opportunity by finding the back of the net giving Stevenson the early 1-0 advantage. Just over nine minutes later, Nick Ellis and McDonald would team up to eventually find the foot of Pete Wickiser who would double the Mustang advantage.

In the 36th minute of the match, the Mustang offense was not finished as Jay Smith was able to put the ball between the posts and Stevenson would put LVC in a 3-0 hole in the opening half. The score would remain 3-0 into the halftime break.

LVC could not get any traction on the offensive end, despite firing off seven shots with four on target in the second half, the Dutchmen could not get that elusive goal and would eventually fall 3-0 in a physical postseason matchup to Stevenson.

Inside the Numbers
