How It Happened
ANNVILLE, Pa. -  Lebanon Valley's footballl squad fell to Stevenson University by a score of 42-13 on Saturday afternoon in Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Football action in LVC's annual Pink Game. The Dutchmen slipped to 3-5, 3-3 MAC, while the Mustangs jumped to 6-2, 5-1 MAC.

In the early going, on Stevenson's first offensive drive of the game, Tyler Lutz picked off Ryan Sedgwick's pass at LVC's 45-yard line and ran it back to Stevenson's 21, setting the Dutchmen up with terrific field position. On LVC's ensuing drive, LVC was unable to move the ball, but Nick Bentz knocked through a 38-yard field goal, giving the Dutchmen an early 3-0 lead with 11:14 remaining in the opening quarter. The Mustangs put together a long drive next, but it was capped by Brody Campbell's field-goal attempt from 31 yards out that missed wide right. After an LVC three-and-out, the Mustangs went 65 yards in six plays, finished off by Ryan Sedgwick's five-yard TD pass to Vincent Lee, making it 7-3 in favor of the visitors.

The Dutchmen's next drive resulted in a punt that was blocked by Stevenson's De'Juan Miles at LVC's 38-yard line. The Mustangs took advantage of the good field position and went down the field and Titus Johnson eventually ran it in from two yards out. After the PAT, Stevenson went up 14-3 with 9:20 left in the second. The Dutchmen responded in a big way on their next drive when LVC took advantage of three Stevenson penalties on the home team's next drive. Eventually, the Dutchmen got into the red zone and Keegan Corwell finished off the 54-yard, six-play drive with a three-yard rushing touchdown, bringing LVC to within four of the Mustangs with 6:20 to go in the first half. LVC was unable to stop Stevenson in the closing minutes of the first half and on Stevenson's next drive, Sedgwick found Keenan Franz for a 26-yard score to put the visitors back up by 11 at 21-10 with 2:52 to go.

From there, each team punted and the Dutchmen then got the ball back at the 50-yard line with 21 ticks left on the clock in the first. Kody Kegarise found Tyeair Diggs for a 12-yard catch, followed by a huge 32-yard grab by Diggs all the way to the Stevenson 6-yard line. With four seconds left, the Dutchmen decided to go for it and Kegarise's pass intended for Ian Murhon was incomplete, but the Mustangs were called for holding with no time left on the clock, so the Dutchmen got a free play and decided to attempt the field goal, and Bentz knocked it through from 21 yards out, bringing LVC to within eight at 21-13 at halftime.

The second half was all Stevenson, beginning with Chaz Lyle's 72-yard TD reception from Sedgwick, putting the visitors up 28-13. Later in the third, Titus Johnson found pay dirt for the second time today with a one-yard run to make it 35-13. LVC's offense was unable to mount the comeback, and with 6:12 left in the fourth, Stevenson running back put the game out of reach with a one-yard TD run to put the Mustangs up 42-13.
