How It Happened
ASTON, Pa. – Neumann University netted three goals in the final period to pull away from and defeat Lebanon Valley 4-0 on Saturday night in United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) Men's Ice Hockey action. The Flying Dutchmen fell to 2-5-0, 1-3-0 UCHC, while the Knights improved to 1-3-0, 1-3-0 UCHC.

In the early going, neither team was able to generate many scoring opportunities until Zac Boyle opened the scoring with just 46 seconds left in the first period when he found the back of the net off an assist from Glenn Florczak, giving the home team a narrow 1-0 lead heading into the second period.

The Dutchmen continued to get shots on goal in the second period but had nothing to show for it, as Neumann's Mike Cosentino was on top of his game between the pipes. Neither team was able to score in the second, so the teams headed to the third with the Knights still ahead 1-0.

4:49 into the third, Neumann drew a penalty and went on the man-advantage. The home team took advantage and scored when Clay Boyd found the back of the net from Barry Kneedler and Richie Brusco, increading the Knights' lead to 2-0. Just past the midway point of the third, Danny Cangelosi netted a goal, and with 4:21 to go in the game, Eric Madison put the game out of reach when he found the back of the net and Neumann went on to win 4-0.
