COMPLETE RESULTS
ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley's men's and women's swimming teams finished up their regular season of the 2018-19 schedule by taking on Lycoming in Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) action. The women fell to Warriors 145-106, while the men dropped a 111-72 decision.
Before the meet started this afternoon, the Flying Dutchmen honored their nine seniors in
Caitlyn Berdel,
Casey Burke,
Laura Ciuchta,
Katie Gingrich,
Marie Grenchik, Maddie Martin, Ellie McNamnara,
Catherine Orlando, and Savanna Toth.
On the women's side, a team of
Kaitlyn Welch,
Kaylee Kleffel,
Erika Schell, and
Sofia Pascuzzo narrowly missed out on first place in the 200-meter medley relay and finished just over a second behind Lyco with a time of 2:16.54. In the 200-meter freestyle,
Sarah Wolfe, who won two races yesterday, took second in the race with a time of 2:27.40.
Welch then took first in the 100-meter backstroke with a time of 1:16.96, while
Alexis Morace (30.70) and Gingrich (30.94) finished second and third, respectively, in the 50-meter freestyle. In the 200-meter backstroke,
Cayla Sydow was second at 2:50.02, and then Wolfe won the 400-meter freestyle with a mark of 5:06.89, followed by Schell's victory in the 100-meter butterfly (1:12.32).
On the men's side,
Kyle Kingsbury took second in the 50-meter freestyle with a time of 27.28, while
Noah Miccio wasn't far behind in fourth at 29.10.
Jordan Heavel won the 200-meter breaststroke, touching the wall at 3:24.11, while
Chandler Mumper was victorious in the 400-meter freestyle at 5:35.50.
Jacob Creitz took first in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:39.16, and finally,
Derek Sauder,
Charlie Besjak, Miccio, and Creitz teamed up to win the 200-meter freestyle relay with a time of 2:05.83.
LVC returns to action on Thursday, Feb. 14 for day one of the 2019 MAC Championships in York where several Dutchmen will be competing for conference crowns.
