COMPLETE RESULTS
ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley's men's and women's swimming teams were back in the pool for the first time in over and month and hosted FDU-Florham on Saturday afternoon. The women came away with a 147-45 win over the Devils, while the men dropped a 107-58 decision. The Dutchmen women improved to 2-5 on the season, 1-2 MAC, while the men fell to 1-6, 1-2 MAC.
On the women's side, a team of
Kaitlyn Welch,
Kaylee Kleffel,
Erika Schell, and
Juna Currie teamed up to win the 200-meter medley relay with a time of 2:20.54.
Sarah Wolfe took first in the 800-meter free after touching the wall at 10:38.45, then Welch won the 200-meter free with a time of 2:30.64. Schell won the 50-meter free, touching the wall at 29.05, seven seconds better than the second-place finisher.
Nicole Flohr took home first-place honors in the 100-meter free at 1:07.55, and Wolfe then added a victory in the 400-meter free at 5:15.19. Kleffel touched the wall first in the 100-meter breaststroke at 1:30.84, and Welch won the 200-meter backstroke with a time of 2:50.59. Finally, a team of Katie Gngrich,
Alexis Morace,
Sofia Pascuzzo, and
Emily Thrush won the 200-meter free relay with a itme of 2:05.61.
For the men,
Kyle Kingsbury ook home first place in the 50-meter freestyle with a time of 26.83, and
Charlie Besjak placed second with a time of 1:03.49 in the 100-meter free. Finally, in the 200-meter free relay, a team of
Derek Sauder, Besjak, Kingsbury, and
Kurt Harnish won the race with a time of 1:52.97, over eight seconds better than the Devils' four swimmers.
LVC returns to action on Saturday, Jan. 26 at Hood College at 2 p.m.
