How It Happened
After weather caused a two-week plus layoff, Lebanon Valley returned to action against Hood on Thursday afternoon, April 5. In the opening contest of a MAC Commonwealth doubleheader, LVC got the bats going late to earn a 5-2 victory after a stout performance from pitcher Lexi Windsor kept things close in the early going.

After managing just two hits through the first five and a half innings of a scoreless game, the Flying Dutchmen (6-5, 2-1 MAC Commonwealth) put it all together to score all five of their runs in the bottom of the sixth. Jen Kaufman led off with a walk before stealing second base and Windsor drove her in with an RBI single two batters later. Savannah Toth's ensuing base knock plated Tianna Yanoscak and Kate Whelski followed it up with a single that scored Windsor to make it 3-0. Before the inning was out, Rachel Costantini came through with a pinch-hit RBI single that allowed Mackenzie Hasenauer and Whelski to cross the plate.

The Blazers (9-10, 0-3 MAC Commonwealth) responded with a pair of tallies in the top of the seventh thanks to a two-run home run off the bat of Kaitlin Barron but Windsor buckled down and got Bridget Smith to strike out swinging to end the game.

Inside the Circle
- Lexi Windsor was nearly perfect for LVC, allowing just one hit through six innings before a late homer accounted for her pair of earned runs. She surrendered just three hits and struck out three Blazers to earn the complete-game victory.
- Kayli Paugh took the loss for Hood. She was strong through the early innings before the Dutchmen got to her to the tune of six hits, four walks, and five earned runs.
