How It Happened
SCRANTON, Pa.
– Lebanon Valley's baseball team lost its 2018 season finale to Scranton by a 13-3 margin on Monday night in non-conference action. The Dutchmen finished their season at 11-23, while the Royals improved to 18-16.

Scranton jumped out to an early lead thanks to a six-run second inning. After the Royals added another in the bottom of the third, the home squad put up three more runs in the bottom of the sixth.

LVC started to chip away momentarily in the top of the seventh, beginning with Bryan Towers' sacrifice fly that scored Mitch Rickabaugh. After Mark Peterson scored on a wild pitch to make it 10-2, Trevor Bertsch then singled through the right side to plate Dan Scalley, bringing the Dutchmen to within seven at 10-3.

However, the Royals added three more runs in the bottom of the eighth to put the game out reach for LVC, as the Dutchmen fell by a 13-3 score.
