How It Happened
Lebanon Valley set a single-game program record for most goals in a dominant 22-2 victory over Hood in MAC Commonwealth action at Arnold Field on Wednesday afternoon, April 11.

Makenzie Kelley led the way for the Flying Dutchmen (8-4, 3-1 MAC Commonwealth) with a single-game program record nine goals. It is the second time this spring she matched the impressive mark. She added a pair of assists to finish with a game-high 11 points.

Veronica Venezia added six points on four goals and a pair of assists, while
Emma Jones recorded a hat trick.
Kirsten Bannan helped out in a major way with a season-high five assists to go along with one marker.

Kelley opened the game by recording a hat trick in the first 5:04 and the rest of the team followed her lead, scoring nine more goals before halftime. After Venezia made it 4-0 at the 22:22 mark, Jones netted back-to-back scores to push the advantage to six.

Kelley added her fourth goal at the 14:50 mark before Bannan got into the scoring act five minutes later. Bannan also assisted on the first of two markers from
Jaclyn Little with 7:33 left until the break and Kelly pushed the lead to double digits little more than a minute later.
Kayci Strous found twine for the first time at the 4:34 mark and Little posted her second tally of the day just before halftime.

It was Kelley starting the second half the same way she began the first, with her sixth score coming a minute and a half into the period. Bannan hooked up with Venezia for another goal five minutes later and Jones converted a free position attempt to make it 15-0 with 18:13 left to play.

The Blazers (5-6, 0-3 MAC Commonwealth) finally got on the board when Rachel Slater converted a free position look at the 16:40 mark but the Dutchmen responded with an
Emily Federowicz goal off a
Brenna O'Neill assist two minutes later.

After Hood scored its second goal of the game with 11:48 remaining, LVC closed out the game with three goals from Kelley, another from Strous, and two markers from Venezia, including a buzzer beater that was made possible by an O'Neill caused turnover, an
Alexa Bash ground ball, and a nifty loft from Bannan in the closing seconds.
