How It Happened
A massive second half propelled Lebanon Valley to an impressive 11-5 non-conference victory over Shenandoah at Arnold Field on Saturday afternoon, March 17.

Makenzie Kelley and Emma Jones jumpstarted the offense with four goals apiece and the defensive unit was energized by the return of Jen Eck and an outstanding effort from goalkeeper Leah Franklin.

After the Hornets (5-3) drew to within one at 5-4 early in the second half, Kelley turned the tide when she gathered in the ensuing draw control, sprinted to the net, and put her attempt past SU goalkeeper Maddie Albornoz at the 24:33 mark.

She followed it up with her fourth marker of the game two minutes later before LVC (4-3) pushed the scoring total to double digits thanks to back-to-back-to-back free position scores from Jaclyn Little, Jones, and Veronica Venizia, respectively.

Shenandoah showed signs of life late in the contest when Jordyn Miller converted a free position attempt to cut the deficit to five with 7:06 left to play but the Dutchmen defense dug in and held the visitors scoreless the rest of the way.

Jones capped the game's scoring when she found twine on another free position score with less than 20 seconds remaining.
