How It Happened
It was a rough afternoon for Lebanon Valley in the team's 14-3 loss at Frostburg State on Wednesday, Feb. 28.
After
Kevin Beaver netted an early equalizer off an assist from
Mason Hoff with 5:33 to play in the opening quarter, the Bobcats (2-1) scored eight consecutive goals over a stretch that spanned the end of the first quarter, the entirety of the second period, and into the early portion of the second half.
The Flying Dutchmen (1-1) stopped the bleeding when
Alex Bushong found the back of the net with a marker off another Hoff assist at the 12:12 mark of the third quarter but FSU responded with five consecutive goals to put the advantage to double digits in the final period of play.
A pair of freshmen teamed up for LVC's last goal, with
Josh Croyle converting the game's final score when he found twine off a feed from
Evan Federowicz with 27 seconds left to play.
