How It Happened
HERSHEY, Pa. – Lebanon Valley fell to Chatham 4-2 in the Dutchmen's 2017-18 season finale on Sunday afternoon in UCHC women's ice hockey action. LVC finished the season at 2-19-2, 1-14-1, while the Cougars ended their campaign with a 7-14-2 overall record and a 4-12-0 mark in conference play.

Today was also senior day in Hershey, and LVC honored its lone senior, Nikki Lloyd.

History was also made this afternoon when Jill Moffatt made her sixth save of the day to break the NCAA Division-III record for most saves in a single season.

Chatham's Dahea Chung scored the first two goals of the game, with the first coming 6:23 into the opening period and her next goal coming at 9:15 of the first to put the Cougars ahead at 2-1. The Dutchmen made it a one-goal game at 10:51 when Taylor Brynteson scored from Chloe Glass and Lloyd, keeping it a close game heading into the second.

After Chatham's Danielle Bos scored the second period's lone goal to go up 2-1, LVC kept fighting and made it a 3-2 contest early on in the third when Rachel Havrylkoff scored just as a Cougars' penalty expired. From there, the Dutchmen were unable to find the back of the net again and Kirajean Frost netted an unassisted goal at 15:32 to put the game out of reach.

Inside the Numbers
 - Moffatt broke the previous single-season saves record of 1,202 set by Kami Weiner of Johnson & Wales (R.I.) back in 2016. The sophomore finished the season with 1,267 stops.
 - Moffatt made 70 stops today for the Dutchmen.
 - Brynteson finished with a goal and an assist, while Glass picked up a pair of helpers.
 - Havrylkoff and Lloyd each had three shots on goal.
 - Glass won a team-high 12 faceoffs.

It's Not Goodbye, It's See You Later
Lloyd has been a huge part of LVC women's hockey since its inception last season. The senior led the team in points and goals in each season, and was a part of the field hockey and women's lacrosse team.
