ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley's men's and women's swim squads hosted King's (Pa.) on Friday evening in Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) action. The men dropped 155-18 decision, while the women narrowly fell by a 118-86 score.
 
On the men's side, Derek Sauder was the Dutchmen's top finisher in the 50-meter freestyle, touching the wall at 29.74. In the 100-meter freestyle, Gabe Dimisa was LVC's best finisher, placing fourth with a time of 1:01.92. Charlie Besjak took third in the 100-meter backstroke at 1:12.95, while Kyle Kingsbury, Dimisa, Besjak, and Derek Sauder finished the 200-meter freestyle with a time of 1:53.46.
 
On the women's side, a team of Kaitlyn Welch, Courtney Betsock, Erika Schell, and Juna Currie placed second in the 200-meter medley relay with a time of 2:18.51. Sarah Wolfe won the 800-meter freestyle, touching the wall in 10:29.10, over 16 seconds better than the second-place finisher from King's. Schell touched the wall first in the 50-meter freestyle, finishing with a time of 28.90. Betsock followed closely in third place at 29.69.
 
In the 200-meter individual medley, D'Anna Sydow took second, touching the wall at 2:45.52, while Schell added another victory, this time in the 100-meter butterfly at 1:11.68. Nicole Flohr finished runner-up in the 100-meter freestyle at 1:09.11, and Betsock then followed with a win in the 100-meter breaststroke at 1:24.40, and then a team of Welch, Katie Gingrich, Emily Thrush, and Alexis Morace took second in the 200-meter freestyle relay with a time of 2:03.79.
 
The Dutchmen return to action on Monday, Nov. 19 against Elizabethtown at 6 p.m. inside Arnold Sports Center.
