COMPLETE RESULTS
ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley's men's and women's swimming teams opened up 2018-19 competitive action by hosting Cabrini University in the Dutchmen's annual Pink Meet on Friday night inside the Arnold Sports Center. The men dropped a narrow 110-95 decision, while the women also fell to the Cavaliers by a 126-45 margin.
On the women's side
D'Anna Sydow,
Courtney Betsock,
Erika Schell, and
Kaitlyn Welch teamed up to take first in the 200-meter medley relay after finishing with a time of 2:14.52. Schell then added a first-place finish in the 100-meter butterfly at 1:11.68.
Sarah Wolfe impressed in the 800-meter freestyle, touching the wall in 10:33.14 to finish second, while D. Sydow took second in the 200-meter freestyle with a mark of 2:32.33.
Sarah Wolfe added a MAC-qualifying time in 1650-meter freestyle, while
Kaitlyn Welch and
Sofia Pascuzzo each qualified for MAC's in the 50-meter freestyle.
Betsock was the first to touch the wall in the 200-meter individual medley with a time of 2:39.88 to earn a MAC's spot, just moments before Cabrini's Tara McCloskey (2:39.96).
Nicole Flohr (1:07.99, MAC qualifier) and
Juna Currie (1:09.10) took second and third, respectively, in the 100-meter freestyle, while D. Sydow added a victory in the 100-meter backstroke with a time of 1:15.71, a good-enough time to qualify for MAC's.
Alexis Morace and C. Sydow qualified for the 100-meter butterfly for MAC's, as did Jillian Frenick in the 100-yard backstroke.
On the men's side,
Kyle Kingsbury,
Charlie Besjak,
Gabe Dimisa, and
Chandler Mumper won the 200-meter freestyle relay after finishing with a time of 1:54.22, a full five seconds ahead of the second-place squad. Kingsbury later finished second in the 50-meter freestyle after touching the wall at 27.59.
The Flying Dutchmen are back in action for a double dual meet tomorrow in at Wilkes University with Dickinson joining the fun. The meet is set to begin at 1 p.m.
