COMPLETE RESULTS
ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley's men's and women's swimming teams hosted local foe Elizabethtown on Monday night in non-conference action. The men fell 215-30, while the women were edged 137-125.
On the men's side, a team of
Charlie Besjak,
Jordan Heavel,
Gabe Dimisa, and
Kyle Kingsbury finished the 200-meter individual medley with a time of 2:11.24, while
Derek Sauder touched the wall in 39.62 in the 50-meter backstroke. In the 50-meter freestyle,
Noah Miccio was the Flying Dutchmen's top finisher at 31.50, followed by
Hugh Mauck at 34.42. Dimisa added a 1:03.00 time in the 100-meter freestyle, and Besjak was third in the 100-meter backstroke with a mark of 1:13.21. Finally, a team of Besjak,
Chandler Mumper,
Bryan Boissard, and
Kurtis Rineer took third in the 200-meter freestyle relay with a time of 2:08.55
On the women's side, LVC was barely defeated by the Blue Jays despite eight first-place finishes.
D'Anna Sydow,
Courtney Betsock,
Erika Schell, and
Kaitlyn Welch got things started for the Dutchmen with a first-place finish in the 200-meter medley relay at 2:17.82. In the 800-meter freestyle,
Sarah Wolfe touched the wall first with a time of 10:23.64, while Betsock won the 50-meter breaststroke at 38.25.
D. Sydow took second in the 100-meter butterfly at 1:15.25, followed closely by Wolfe in third at 1:16.55. Schell won the 50-meter freestyle with a time of 29.30, and added another first-place finish in the 50-meter butterfly (32.48). D. Sydow then took first in the 100-meter backstroke with a mark of 1:16.41, and Betsock added another victory, this time in the 100-meter individual medley at 1:15.39. Finally, a team of
Katie Gingrich, Welch,
Juna Currie, and Schell won the 200-meter freestyle relay with a time of 2:01.03.
LVC will enjoy Thanksgiving Break before taking on Stevenson in Owings Mills on Dec. 1 at 2 p.m.
