Â
Last Year Against Mis
In a game in which points were tough to come by, Lebanon Valley grabbed an early lead and kept Misericordia off the board the rest of the way in the team's 17-0 shutout victory at MU's Mangelsdorf Field on Oct. 21, 2017. The Dutchmen struggled to get anything going on their first two offensive possessions before finally getting on the board when kickerÂ
Marcus Brown converted a 36-yard field goal with 6:53 remaining in the opening quarter. LVC showed off its big-play capabilities when quarterbackÂ
Tyler Sterner connected with wide receiverÂ
Jeremy De La Cruz for a 65-yard touchdown on the first play of the team's next possession to stretch the advantage to 10-0 late in the first quarter. The third quarter came and went without any points but the Dutchmen finally broke the scoreless drought early in the fourth whenÂ
Tim Pirrone finished off an eight-play, 66-yard drive with a touchdown run from one yard out. Misericordia moved the ball deep into LVC territory on the ensuing drive but the Dutchmen defense held on fourth down from Lebanon Valley's four-yard line. When they got the ball back, the Dutchmen churned out the final 7:24 by running the ball 12 times in a row.
Â
Last Time Out
19 second-quarter points guided Stevenson to a 36-7 victory over Lebanon Valley last week. The afternoon didn't exactly start off on a high note, as LVC fumbled the opening kickoff and Keenan Franz recovered it at the Dutchmen's 49-yard line. LVC however, held the Mustangs off the scoreboard for the time being after Stevenson went three-and-out from there. Throughout much of the first quarter, neither team could get much going until the Mustangs hit a 21-yard field goal with 48 seconds remaining in the first to give Stevenson a narrow lead heading into the second quarter. Just 58 seconds into the second quarter, the Mustangs scored the day's first touchdown when Vincent Lee returned a punt 52 yards to the house. The extra point was missed, so LVC only found itself down by nine at 9-0 early in the second. On the Dutchmen's ensuing possession,Â
Kody Kegarise's pass was picked by Brody Coleman at LVC's 48-yard line. Later in the Mustangs' drive quarterback Ty Crabb ran for a 33-yard score and after the extra point was again wide, Stevenson went up by a 15-0 margin. Stevenson continued to dominate the quarter when Kegarise was again picked off, this time by Ashton Leschke at the Stevenson 36-yard line. Once again, Crabb used his legs to score yet another TD to put the Mustangs up 22-0 heading into halftime. The Dutchmen finally gained some momentum in the beginning stages of the third quarter when LVC'sÂ
Travis Fischer blocked a punt and recovered it at Stevenson's 36-yard line. From there,Â
Ryan Fink capped an 8-play drive with a one-yard rushing TD to make it a 22-7 game in favor of the Mustangs. Stevenson unfortunately answered with a touchdown of its own when Chaz Lyles scored from the one-yard line to make it a 29-7 lead. The Mustangs went on to add another score in the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach for the Dutchmen.

Previewing with Coach Buehler
Head Coach
Joe Buehler '89 sat down to discuss last week's game and Stevenson and looked ahead at Saturday's Homecoming clash with the newly-improved Cougars.
Â
No Place Like Homecoming
The Dutchmen have been quite successful during their annual Homecoming Weekend in recent years. LVC has won nine of its last 10 Homecoming contests, with the program's recent eight-game Homecoming win streak that lasted from 2008 to 2015 only coming to an end with a loss to Widener in 2016.

Brossman To Be Enshrined in LVC Athletics Hall of Fame
Arguably the greatest wide receiver ever to suit up for LVC,
Adam Brossman '08 is one of just 18 players in program history to earn all-America recognition. A third-team pick by Football Gazette in 2006, Brossman re-wrote the record book for wideouts as a junior, catching 62 passes for 1,107 yards and 15 touchdowns; all season records. He also added an historic 337-yard performance against longtime rival Albright that fall. Brosssman holds career records for receiving yards (3,619), receptions (207), and receiving touchdowns (42). He ranks second all-time in total points (266) and fourth in all-purpose yards (3,664). In addition to his all-America honor, he garnered a D3football.com All-Region accolade and four All-MAC awards during his outstanding career. Brossman will enter LVC Athletics' 2018 Hall of Fame class on Friday night inside Sorrentino Gymnasium along with four other LVC players.
Â

Â
Noting LVC's Offense

Ryan Fink is averaging 44.8 and has two TD's on the season.
Jared Kramp was a bright spot for the Dutchmen this past Saturday against Stevenson at the wide receiver position. The senior caught a team-high five catches for 92 yards. Diggs still leads the team in receiving with 12 catches and a 38.2 average.
Â
Noting LVC's Defense
