How It Happened
Fresh off a win over No. 18 Alvernia, Juniata kept rolling with a 4-1 victory over Lebanon Valley under the lights at Arnold Field on Wednesday night, Sept. 6.

The Flying Dutchmen (2-1) goal was scored by Karli Alichwer off an assist by Cecile Kat. Kat initially took the shot on goal and her attempt originally appeared to be smothered by Juniata goalkeeper Kylie Edwards. But Alichwer rushed in to finish off the shot, just inches in front of the net to draw LVC even with the visitors in the 13th minute.

After both teams each netted a goal during the first period of the matchup, Juniata (3-0) broke the tie when Katie Alexander scored within the first minute of the second half.

Catherine Lanigan, who had already netted a tally within the first five minutes of the contest, completed a hat trick in the game's 59th minute, increasing the Eagle's advantage twice more during the period.

Despite a few chances for the Dutchmen throughout the second period, the Eagles pulled away down the stretch, handing LVC its first loss of the season.

Inside the Numbers
- Juniata finished with leads in both the total shots (16-4) and SOG (12-3) categories.
- The Eagles earned 6 corners in the matchup, while the Dutchmen managed 3.
- Karli Alichwer's goal was her second of the young season.
- Tori ByDeLey made seven stops in goal for the Dutchmen. Kristi Langhans made one save for LVC in a reserve role.
- Kyle Edwards needed to make just two stops in earning the victory.
- Juniata's victory was its first over LVC since the 2004 season.
