How It Happened
WILKES BARRE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley's women's soccer team played King's College (Pa.) to a 1-1 tie on Saturday afternoon in non-conference action. The Dutchmen now sit at 3-1-3, while the Monarchs moved to 3-2-2.

In the 12th minute of action, King's got on the scoreboard when Danielle Putnam's shot from the middle of box found the back of the net for the early 1-0 Monarchs' lead.

However, in the 32nd minute, the Dutchmen evened the score when Emma Longenecker shot the ball into the upper right of the net off of a corner kick to earn her first tally of the season in impressive fashion.
In the second half, scoring chances were hard to come by for both squads. At the 67-minute mark, Rileigh Jo Evitts got a shot off, but it was saved by the Monarchs' Jess Schenfeld. For the remainder of the second half, neither team was able to muster up any offense and the game went into overtime.

In the first overtime, the Dutchmen created a corner-kick opportunity in the 96th minute, but Cheyenne Scott's shot went wide right and the game remained tied. In the second extra period, the only shot was by Emily Harrington, but it was wide right for King's and the game eventually ended in a 1-1 draw.
