How It Happened
Lebanon Valley used four home runs and a shutout pitching performance from
Maddie Abbot to earn a 7-0 victory over Cabrini in game one of a non-conference doubleheader on Wednesday afternoon.
Lexi Windsor and
Elaine Gross got the scoring started for LVC (16-5) when they went back-to-back with solo home runs over the center field fence in the top of the third inning.
The Flying Dutchmen added a run in the fourth when
Sammy Bost plated thanks to a wild pitch before
Alissa Robinson hit the team's third solo home run of the game in the top of the fifth to make it 4-0 LVC. Bost got into the RBI action later in the frame when her infield single drove in
Haley Christensen to increase the lead.
Jasmine Copeland hit the first home run of her collegiate career, a two-run shot in the top of the seventh, to cap the scoring for Lebanon Valley.

Maddie Abbot earned her 10th win of the season, throwing a complete-game four-hitter and striking out nine batters.
- Jess Giordano got the start and took the loss for the Knights, allowing five runs on 13 hits and two walks.

How It Happened
Lebanon Valley jumped out to an early lead and held on in the final innings to secure a 4-2 victory over Cabrini in the second contest of a non-conference doubleheader on Wednesday afternoon.
The Flying Dutchmen (17-5) scored the game's first four runs, beginning with
Haley Christensen's sacrifice fly that plated
Elaine Gross in the top of the second.
Savannah Toth made it 2-0 LVC when her RBI single to center field scored
Sammy Bost in the third and
Natalya Sizdahkhani's single that scored
Rachel Costantini to make it 3-0 Dutchmen after four innings of play.
Lexi Windsor added the pop in the top of the seventh, belting her second solo home run of the day over the fence in right field.
The Cavaliers tried to mount a comeback in the bottom of the seventh and plated a pair of runs but Windsor was able to work out of trouble to clinch the sweep for Lebanon Valley.
