How It Happened
READING, Pa.Philip Berry crushed a two-out, three-run homerun over the center field wall to give Lebanon Valley its first lead of the day en route to the 8-5 come-from-behind victory over Albright on Friday afternoon in MAC Commonwealth baseball action. The win sealed a playoff spot for the Dutchmen, who now sit at 20-14, 11-8 MAC Commonwealth, while the Lions dropped to 10-25, 4-15 MAC Commonwealth.

Colin Albright notched the 100th hit of his career in this game, a single to the shortstop in the top of the sixth.

LVC clawed its way back into the game slowly after Albright led 2-0 after two innings, 3-0 after three innings, and 5-1 after five innings of action. After the Dutchmen scraped together a pair of runs in the top of the seventh to cut into Albright's lead at 5-3, LVC still had work to do if it wanted to pull off the comeback.

In the top of the ninth, Chris DeClerico drew a one-out walk, and after a foul out to the catcher, Joshua Marcelli walked to bring the go-ahead run to the plate. Berry looked at the first pitch for a ball, then reliever Costa threw a strike, and after another ball, Berry sent the 2-1 pitch over the center field fence to put the Dutchmen ahead 6-5, completing the comeback. Later in the inning, the MAC's batting average leader Zac Edwards hit a two-RBI single to give LVC some breathing room at 8-5 heading into the ninth.

Zach Yingst, who came into the game in the top of the seventh, walked the first batter before hitting Fretz, which chased Yingst out of the game and Marshall Kiessling came in from left field to try to notch the save. After Kiessling struck storms out looking, Jeff Yordy lined out to Edwards, who then threw over to first to complete the double play and end the game in thrilling fashion.

Inside the Numbers
 - Edwards went 3-for-5 with two RBI and a walk.
 - Berry finished the day 3-for-5 with a game-high four RBI.
 - Marcelli added two hits for the Dutchmen and drew a base-on-balls twice.
 - Casey Wall got the start and didn't factor into the decision. He went three innings and allowed three runs.
 - Eric Marrero tossed 2.2 innings and allowed no earned runs, while Yingst picked up the win and Kiessling recorded the save.
 - This is LVC's first 20+ win season since 2014, also the last time the Dutchmen were in the playoffs.
