How It Happened
Lebanon Valley opened its MAC Commonwealth doubleheader at Lycoming with a decisive 7-1 victory over the Warriors on Thursday afternoon.
The Flying Dutchmen (18-9, 7-4 MAC Commonwealth) struck first when
Lexi Windsor's double to center field scored
Sammy Bost and put the visitors out in front 1-0 in the top of the first inning.
LVC struck again when
Alissa Robinson picked up an RBI thanks to a bases-loaded walk that plated Windsor from third base before
Haley Christensen singled to left field and drove in
Elaine Gross to increase the lead to three in the top of the fourth.
Lyco (15-8) go on the board in the bottom of the sixth thanks to a sacrifice fly but the Dutchmen put the game out of reach by scoring four more tallies in the top of the next frame.
Annie McClain scored when
Savannah Toth singled up the middle, Toth came across on a wild pitch, and
Kate Whelski's RBI groundout brought
Robin Feaster across.

Maddie Abbot earned her 11th win of the year for LVC by throwing a complete-game three-hitter and allowing just one run to go along with five strikeouts.
- Rachael Shady took the loss for the Warriors, allowing seven runs on 10 hits and four walks in 6.1 innings of work.

How It Happened
Lycoming scored early and often in the team's 12-4 victory in five innings over Lebanon Valley in game two of a MAC Commonwealth doubleheader on Thursday afternoon.
After the Warriors (16-8) took the early lead on a two-run homer, the Flying Dutchmen (18-10, 7-5 MAC Commonwealth) answered back with three runs in the top of the second frame.

The turning point came in the bottom of the second when Lyco scored seven runs on five hits and a pair of LVC errors. The home team added another tally in the bottom of the third before plating two more in the bottom of the fourth.
The Dutchmen stopped the bleeding with an
Elaine Gross RBI single up the middle that drove in Bost in the top of the fifth frame but it was far too little too late.
