How It Happened
A slow start hampered Lebanon Valley in the team's 17-8 loss to Dickinson at Biddle Field on Wednesday afternoon, March 8.
The Red Devils (2-2) scored the game's first seven goals before
Makenzie Kelley ended LVC's scoring drought with a marker at the 9:24 mark of the first half. From there, the two teams traded goals, with
Emma Jones netting a pair before halftime. Still, the home team took a 10-3 advantage into the break.
Kelley added her second score of the day less than three minutes into the second half and
Nikki Lloyd responded to a Devils' goal with a marker of her own with 21:27 remaining to cut the deficit to six.
Dickinson answered with three consecutive goals to push its advantage to 14-5 midway through the second half before
Emily Federowicz slowed the home team's momentum with a score off a
Kara Strack assist with 13:06 left to play.
Kirsten Bannan pitched in with an unassisted goal at the 3:34 mark before the Devils extended their lead to double-digits with back-to-back scores.
Brenna O'Neill capped the game's scoring with a marker off a Jones find with nine seconds remaining.
