How It Happened
ANNVILLE, Pa. – Muhlenberg held on for a 12-9 win over Lebanon Valley's women's lacrosse team on Sunday afternoon in non-conference action. The Mules jumped to 5-1, while the Dutchmen fell to 0-7. Today's game was a make-up game that was delayed due to Winter Storm Stella. Also, Emma Jones reached a milestone this afternoon, scoring the 100th goal of her collegiate career.

LVC started out by scoring the game's first two goals, first by Makenzie Kelley at 18:08 then Jones scored at 17:05, her 14th on the season and 100th of her young career. Muhlenberg answered by scoring three consecutive goals to take a 3-2 advantage with 12:09 remaining in the first. Kirsten Bannan got on the board at 11:07 with her eighth tally of the year, but another three-goal run by the Mules put them up 6-3 with 8:38 to go in the half. Each team added a goal in the final minutes and the Dutchmen went into halftime down by three at 7-4.

Muhlenberg went up by four at 8-4 with 24:47 to go in the game, but Jones kept the Dutchmen within striking distance when she potted a goal just over a minute later. After the Mules went up 9-5, Emily Federowicz and Jones went back-to-back to cut the Mules' lead to just two at 9-7 with 14:29 left. Muhlenberg, however, added two goals in the span of just under three minutes to go back ahead by four at 11-7. Federowicz and Bannan each added a goal late, but the Mules eventually held on for the narrow 12-9 win.
