Men's Lacrosse Earns Convincing Victory Over King's

How It Happened
Lebanon Valley never trailed in picking up its third victory in a row with a convincing 11-3 win over King's at Arnold Field on Saturday afternoon, March 18.

The Flying Dutchmen scored all four first-quarter goals, with Austin Minnich finding the net at the 8:03 mark before Alex Bushong sandwiched a pair of goals around a Kevin Beaver strike. Max Warmingham, Klayton Garman, and Baker Landon tallied assists in the opening period.

The Monarchs (1-4) opened the second quarter with two straight scores before Joe Olives halted the visitors' momentum with a marker off a Garman find with 1:31 left before halftime.

LVC picked up where it left off after the break as Matt Torrence got into the scoring act less than two minutes into the third quarter before Olives buried his second of the day, a man-up marker, off another Landon look. Mason Hoff fired home an unassisted goal at the 1:24 mark, while King's only sign of life came when Kyle Wilk found twine with 56 seconds left in the period.

The Dutchmen took an 8-3 advantage into the final quarter and didn't let up as Brett Kudlak scored twice in the fourth, bookending Warmingham's unassisted goal off finds from Garman and Beaver.

Play of the Day
Lebanon Valley's pretty passing was on display when the team's first goal of the fourth quarter materialized thanks to four quick passes following a clear off a connection between goalkeeper Cameron Epple and Kevin BeaverBrett Kudlak finished off the play by firing top shelf off an assist from Klayton Garman  with 4:42 left to play.



Inside the Numbers
- LVC outshot the Monarchs 44-25, including 26-12 in attempts on goal.
- The Dutchmen won the faceoff battle 11-5, with Courtland Hackel earning all of Lebanon Valley's victories.
- The teams combined to commit 12 penalties on the day.
- Each team managed one man-up goal. King's went 1-5, while LVC finished 1-7.
- Lebanon Valley scooped up 32 ground balls and the visitors recorded 26.
- LVC was 21-24 on clear attempts, while the Monarchs finished 17-18.
- Klayton Garman recorded a game-high three points thanks to his trio of assists.
- Alex Bushong (2G), Max Warmingham (1G, 1A), Baker Landon (2A), Brett Kudlak (2G), Joe Olives (2G), and Kevin Beaver (1G, 1A) each tallied two points for LVC.
- Blake Weaver caused a game-high four turnovers for the Dutchmen. Austin Minnich forced three turnovers, while Coleman Wagner and Barrett Campbell each caused a pair.
- Weaver, Minnich, and Hackel each scooped up a team-high four ground balls.
- Cameron Epple made nine saves in net to earn his fourth win of the year.
- King's goalkeeper George Pfeiffer made 15 stops on the day.
