How It Happened
Lebanon Valley outscored Arcadia 21-10 in the final quarter to pull away and defeat the Knights 63-52 in the 10th annual Pink Game on Wednesday night. The Dutchmen, who have already clinched a MAC Commonwealth playoff spot, jumped to 11-12, 8-6 MACC, while Arcadia dropped to 6-16, 2-11 MACC.

Tied at 42-42 heading into the fourth quarter, the game remained close and neither team was able to pull away due to several turnovers. But, with the contest still locked up at 48-48 with 4:40 remaining, the Dutchmen netted six points in a row, a jumper from Jasmine Copeland, followed by a layup from Lexie Lantz and a jumper from Anne Lehr, making the score 54-48 with 2:49 to go. The Knights came to within four at 54-50 with 2:06 left, but LVC never allowed them to get any closer, as Anne Lehr was dominate at the charity stripe in the final 33 seconds, going 7-for-8 from the line to clinch the win 63-52.

It was a close game throughout the first half and third quarter. In the early going, the Dutchmen led by one at 11-10 win 5:12 remaining in the first. Later, at 4:18, Maureen Fiocca put Arcadia up by one at 14-13 with a layup, but seven consecutive points from LVC put the Dutchmen up by six at 20-14 with 14 seconds to go and LVC went into the second quarter with a lead.

LVC was able to stretch its lead to nine in the second quarter at 28-19 with 4:21 left, however Arcadia put together an 11-2 run that stretched three minutes to come to within two at 32-30 with 35 ticks left on the clock and the two teams went into halftime at that same score. The third quarter was filled with several turnovers from each team, to go along with stingy defense on both sides. The Knights scored 12 in the quarter and the Dutchmen netted just 10, resulting in the 42-42 tie at the end of three.

LVC Hosts 10th Annual Pink Game
Tonight, LVC hosted its 10th annual Pink Game in hopes of spreading breast cancer awareness. The Dutchmen have hosted the Pink Game every season since 2007 and the event aims to raise awareness regarding breast cancer detection, treatment, and prevention. In addition to the game day festivities and on-court showdown, LVC's women's basketball team got to experience the Penn State Health Breast Center firsthand when the players and coaches toured the facility and interacted with medical staff this past Monday evening. As part of the Pink Game, each year the Dutchmen auction off their special pink jerseys that are worn for one game only.

Playoff Picture
LVC has clinched a spot in the 2016-17 MAC Commonwealth tournament and the only thing left to be determined is what seed the Dutchmen will be. LVC currently sits as the No. 5 seed.

Who's Next?
The Dutchmen face a tough test this Saturday when LVC travels to Grantham to take on No. 19 Messiah at 3 p.m.
