How It Happened
ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley used a late fourth-quarter spurt to take the lead and never look back, as the Dutchmen edged Lycoming 69-63 on Tuesday night in MAC Commonwealth women's basketball action. LVC jumped to 12-13, 9-7 MAC Commonwealth and the Warriors fell to 14-9, 8-7 MAC Commonwealth.

Before the game, Hilary Yoh, Lexie Lantz, and Taylor Troutman, as well as Ali Semanchik the team's manager, were honored on Senior Night.

Down 57-55 with 3:06 remaining in the contest, the Dutchmen began their game-clinching run, starting with a huge 3-pointer by Becky Evans at 2:55 that put LVC ahead 58-57. After Lyco went back up by one at 59-58 at 2:55, the Dutchmen answered when Yoh knocked down a jumper at 2:12, making the score 60-59. Later with LVC up 62-61 with 49 seconds to go, Jasmine Copeland hit a jumper to increase the Dutchmen's lead to 64-61 and with 24 ticks left on the clock, Evans knocked down two big free throws to put LVC up 66-61. After the Warriors couldn't score on their next possession, Evans was fouled again and she hit both free throws, as LVC went on to take the win 69-63.

The game was close for the majority, however the Dutchmen opened up a 14-9 lead with 2:47 left in the first, however the Warriors kept it close and LVC led by just four at 20-16 after one quarter of action. The Dutchmen began the second quarter on fire, and put together a 6-2 run and led 26-18 with 7:40 remaining. After Lyco responded with an 8-2 spurt that cut LVC's lead to two at 28-26 with 5:05 to go, Morgan Bamberger stepped up and hit a big three-pointer, giving the Dutchmen a five-point lead at 31-26. The Warriors, however, ended the half on a 7-2 run and took a narrow lead into halftime.

 Inside the Numbers
 - Yoh paced the offense with 22 points on 11-of-18 shooting. She added six rebounds and four assists.
 - Evans turned in 13 points including a 4-for-4 line from the charity stripe and she added a game-high five assists to go along with two steals.
 - Lantz added 12 points and three blocks.
 - Bamberger went 3-for-3 from downtown for the Dutchmen.
 - LVC outshot Lyco 50-percent to 35.6-percent from the floor.

Playoff Picture
The Dutchmen will take on this same Warriors squad on Monday at a time and place that is yet to be determined. Lyco takes on Stevenson at home this Saturday. A win gives the Warriors home court on Monday, but a loss gives the Dutchmen a home game on Monday night.

Who's Next?
The regular season is all finished up and LVC will be taking on Lycoming this Monday in the Play-In Game of the 2016-17 MAC Commonwealth Championship Tournament.
