ANNVILLE, Pa. – Thanks to his strong start to the 2017-18 campaign, Lebanon Valley's Andy Orr has been named to this season's first D3hoops.com Men's Basketball Team of the Week.
 
Orr helped lead LVC to a 4-1 start and is averaging a double-double on better than 50 percent shooting from the floor through five games. The senior is putting up 20.2 points, 12 rebounds, and two blocks per contest to go along with a 53.2 field goal percentage and 72.9 free throw percentage. The versatile big man has posted three double-doubles through his first five outings, with his most impressive performance coming in the team's home opener during which he netted 23 points, grabbed 15 rebounds, blocked two shots, and added a pair of assists in just 16 minutes of action. For his efforts, the team captain was named the MAC Commonwealth's first men's basketball player of the week.
 
Orr is currently tops in the MAC Commonwealth in rebounding and blocks and ranks third in scoring behind teammate and league-leader Sam Light and Stevenson's Danzel Wright.
 
The Flying Dutchmen are next in action when they open conference play at Widener tomorrow night, Nov. 29.
