DANBURY, Conn. – Lebanon Valley men's soccer's quest to defend its crown will continue this weekend as the program has been chosen to host the championship round of the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Men's Soccer Tournament.
The Flying Dutchmen (13-5-1) earned a pair of victories over the weekend and emerged from Pod 4 as the lone remaining No. 1 seed in the tournament. LVC hosts Grove City at Herbert Field at 11 a.m. on Saturday morning, Nov. 18, before NYU and Rutgers-Camden face off in the 2 p.m. matchup. The winners of Saturday's semifinal contests will face off in the Division III Championship Game on Sunday at 12 p.m.
The Dutchmen shut out John Jay 3-0 at Herbert Field on Saturday, Nov. 11, and followed it up with a 1-0 blanking of McDaniel on Sunday afternoon to advance to championship weekend. Goalkeeper
Cam Avery became the program's all-time leader in shutouts with the win over the Green Terror.
Lebanon Valley is the defending ECAC Division III Champion. The Dutchmen secured their first-ever ECAC Title with a 2-1 victory over Drew at Herbert Field in 2016. They also defeated William Paterson, Grove City, and Cabrini en route to the championship.
Established in 1938, the ECAC is the nation's largest conference, ranging in location from Maine to Georgia, and westerly to Missouri. The ECAC hosts numerous championships in men's and women's sports across Divisions I, II and III, offering opportunities for thousands of student-athletes. For more information, visit
