How It Happened
BUFFALO, N.Y. – Lebanon Valley couldn't get its offense going against a strong Buffalo State team and fell to the Bengals 3-0 on Saturday afternoon in non-conference men's ice hockey action. The Dutchmen dropped to 0-3-1, while Buffalo State jumped to 3-1-1.
LVC played a solid first period and limited the Bengal's chances, while
Tyler Perhac was solid in the first between the pipes, and the two teams played a scoreless opening period, leaving the door open for the Dutchmen.
8:03 into the second, Buffalo State got on the board when Michael Guerrera scored from Anthony Passero and Brody Power. Just a minute later, while on the power play, Guerrera made it a two-goal advantage for the Bengals from Passero and Reid Bibb. Buffalo State didn't score for the remainder of the period, and LVC stayed within striking distance, down by just two after two periods of play.
Neither team did much in the third, but with just over a minute remaining in the third, Bibb put the game out of reach with a tally and LVC fell by a 3-0 margin.
