How It Happened
ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley couldn't solve Elizabethtown's volleyball squad and dropped a 3-0 decision to the Blue Jays on Thursday night in non-conference action. The Dutchmen moved to 11-8 and E-Town improved to 11-6.

The opening set was back-and-forth early on with LVC ahead 8-7, but four consecutive points by the Blue Jays put E-Town ahead 11-8 and they never looked back, not allowing LVC to back into the set as the Blue Jays went on to take the set 25-13 to take a 1-0 advantage in the match.

In the middle set, the Dutchmen kept battling and held a slight lead at 11-10. A mid-set run once again sank LVC, as E-Town scored four in-a-row to take over the set at 14-11. From there, a Blue Jays' ball handling error brought the Dutchmen back to within two at 14-12, but E-Town ended the set on an 11-4 spurt and took the set 25-16 to take a 2-0 lead in the match.

The third frame was different than the first two sets, as the Blue Jays flew out to an early 7-1 lead. A kill by Jess Attieh and an E-Town attack error brought LVC back to within four at 7-3, but the Blue Jays maintained their advantage for the remainder of the set and finished off the Dutchmen 25-14 to win the match 3-0.
