Hilary Yoh's career-high 24 points and
Lexie Lantz's double-double, Lebanon Valley's women's basketball team cruised past Hood College 70-52 on Saturday afternoon in MAC Commonwealth women's basketball action. The Dutchmen picked up the big conference win to improve to 9-11, 6-5 MAC Commonwealth, while the Blazers fell to 6-14, 1-10 MAC Commonwealth.
In addition to the one, Lantz became the 13th player in LVC women's basketball history to score 1,000 points or more in a career. The senior needed eight coming into the game and scored 11 on the afternoon.
The Dutchmen jumped out to an early 11-5 lead, which was capped off by Lantz's 1,000th and 1,0001st career points, which came with 6:12 remaining in the first. LVC kept pouring it on and extended the lead to 17-8 with 3:27 left in the opening period and the Dutchmen led by nine at 19-10 after one quarter of action.
LVC continued to lead comfortably for the majority of the second quarter. Hood came to within six at one point, but the Dutchmen brought the lead back to double digits and went into halftime with a 35-21 lead.
In the third quarter, LVC kept up the big lead and were up by 15 at 45-30 with 5:55 remaining in the third, however Hood followed with a 7-0 spurt to come to within eight at 45-37 with 3:52 left in the period. The Dutchmen were able to minimize the damage and went back up by double digits (56-43) heading into the fourth. In the final period, LVC never relinquished its double-digit lead and went on to take the win 70-52.

Today, Lantz became just the 13th player in Dutchmen women's basketball history to score 1,000 points. The most recent player to do it was
Kiely Chaklos last season.
Inside the Numbers
 - Yoh finished with a career-high 24 points on 12-of-18 shooting for the Dutchmen.

Caroline Scarff went 6-for-6 from the floor for 12 points and Lantz completed the double-double with 11 points and 10 boards.

Becky Evans was also in double digits in points with 10 and the junior added a career-high eight assists.

 - The Dutchmen outshot the Blazers 47-percent to 31.6-percent.
Playoff Picture
Five conference games remain on the schedule for LVC. Currently, the Dutchmen are holding on tight to the No. 5 seed. Albright (11-0), Messiah (9-1), Stevenson (8-3), and Lycoming (6-5) round out the top four. LVC and Lyco are currently tied, but the Warriors hold the tiebreak.

Two road MAC Commonwealth games await LVC next week, beginning with a matchup at Widener on Wednesday at 6 p.m. before the Dutchmen travel to take on Albright next Saturday at 2 p.m.
